About Conference

Research about interactive entertainment technologies, especially video games as their most popular medium, has received much attention in the recent years. In this context, a lot of researchers have studied the positive and negative effects of video games. More recently, exciting research engaging experts in various fields for developing new games aiming at treatment, education, advertising, sports, culture, etc. (sometimes referred to as Serious Entertainments) have highlighted new directions through interdisciplinary research.
 

Annual international conference on Computer Games; Challenges and Opportunities (CGCO), has been started since 2016 by University of Isfahan, one of the largest multidisciplinary universities in Iran. CGCO is a platform for acquaintance, synergy, and sharing the knowledge and experience of experts in various fields like computer science, information technology, art, psychology, sociology, management, and economics, to support novel interdisciplinary research by aggregating technical, artistic and humanities perspectives.
 

The 7th international conference on Computer Games; Challenges and Opportunities (CGCO’2022) will be held online on 24-25 February 2022 by University of Isfahan and Iran Computer and Video Games Foundation. CGCO’2022 will be hosted by the University of Isfahan Innovation Center of Entertainment Industry as the largest research, education and entrepreneurship hub in this strategic and wealth-creating field in Iran.

 

The special focus of CGCO’2022 will be on Video Games; an Evidence-based Approach, and research towards this emerging field are especially welcomed.
 

Organizing committee invites all scholars, students, researchers, developers, and other interested activists of video games to participate in CGCO’2022 and take the opportunity to improve their knowledge, skills, and networks.
